Rebecca Moesta Short Bio
Rebecca Moesta (pronounced MESS-tuh) is the bestselling author of forty books, both solo and in collaboration with her husband, Kevin J. Anderson. Her solo work includes A Christmas to Remember (based on the Hallmark tv movie by the same name), Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Junior Jedi Knights novels, short stories, articles, ghost writing, and editing anthologies. With Kevin, she wrote the Crystal Doors trilogy, the Young Jedi Knights series, movie and game novelizations, lyrics for rock CDs, graphic novels, pop-up books, and writing books, such as Writing as a Team Sport.
Rebecca and Kevin are the publishers of WordFire Press. In her “spare time” she also moonlights as a freelance book editor.

Rebecca & Kevin worked with June Scobee Rodgers and the Challenger Centers for Space Science Education to create the middle grades adventure series, Star Challengers, to encourage students to consider careers in science and technology.
They are also judges for the Writers of the Future, a free international contest that was started expressly to help discover new authors and start their careers. Writers of the Future has launched many authors who now publish professionally. The winners are also invited to an exclusive writers workshop where Kevin and Rebecca share practical insights on the business of writing.
Rebecca, who holds an MSBA from Boston University, has taught every grade level from kindergarten through junior college and spent two years teaching management courses to US Army NCOs in Europe. She is a mother, grandmother, final reader and copyeditor on her husband’s manuscripts, CEO of WordFire, Inc., (the company she and Kevin own), a freelance editor, and Publisher of WordFire Press.
A devout gadgetologistTM, Rebecca claims, “If anything electric, electronic or mechanical is the newest, the latest and best, I will undoubtedly want one. Indeed, I must eventually own one.”
Rebecca has traveled extensively. The only continent she and her husband have not visited together—yet—is Antarctica.
